No. Alarm systems from various manufacturers are installed in South Africa.

The feature of the system that links a client to his/her service provider is the radio receiver that functions on a unique wavelength allocated to that provider. This receiver remains the property of the provider. When a client wants to change from one provider to another it only requires the radio receiver to be replaced.
